Platinum Membership

The more numerous and complex your legal problems become the more legal cover you may need. The three policies within the Scorpion Platinum range offers you additional legal cover to meet your legal challenges.

Platinum Policy A

Comprehensive cover covering criminal, civil, labour and administrative law cases

For only R90 per month you receive:

  • Up to R100 000 worth of legal cover per annum. In other words, double the cover of the standard membership.
  • 24 hour access to help and advice.
  • Protection that covers you, your spouse and all your children under 21 years of age.
  • Cover that pays your Scorpion premium for 12 months if you are retrenched at no extra charge.
  • A Legal sting newsletter every three months with advice and tips.
  • For a small additional charge, parents and parents in law can be included as dependants under this policy.
  • Access to a qualified social worker.
  • A free 2 hours per annum consultation for matters that are not covered by the current policy.
  • A free Scorpion wallet for your Platinum membership card.
  • R9 000 accidental death legal expenses cover
  • Access to our TAX help desk

Platinum Policy B

Cover for job/ work related problems only

For only R66 per month you receive:

  • Up to R60 000 worth of legal cover per annum. In other words, R20 000 more cover than the standard membership.
  • 24 hour access to help and advice.
  • Protection that covers you, your spouse and all your children under 21 years of age.
  • Cover that pays your Scorpion premium for 12 months if you are retrenched at no extra charge.
  • A Legal sting newsletter every three months with advice and tips.
  • Access to a qualified social worker.
  • A free 2 hours per annum consultation for matters that are not covered by the current policy.
  • A free Scorpion wallet for your Platinum membership card.

Platinum Policy C

Cover for civil cases only.  This is where there is a dispute between two or more individuals

For only R66 per month you receive:

  • Up to R60 000 worth of legal cover per annum. In other words, R20 000 more cover than the standard membership
  • 24 hour access to help and advice.
  • Protection that covers you, your spouse and all your children under 21 years of age.
  • Cover that pays your Scorpion premium for 12 months if you are retrenched at no extra charge.
  • A Legal sting newsletter every three months with advice and tips.
  • Access to a qualified social worker.
  • 2 Hours per year free consultation for matters that are not covered by the current policy.
  • A free Scorpion wallet for your Platinum membership card.
  • R9 000 accidental death legal expenses cover
  • Access to our TAX help desk

Exclusions

In order to maintain an affordable premium, certain matters are not covered (excluded) by the Scorpion policy: 

These exclusions include, but are not limited to:

  • Business related matters.
  • Matrimonial matters e.g. divorce, maintenance orders
  • Old disputes (any cases that came up prior to Scorpion membership)
