There are dodgy companies that ‘trick’ consumers into thinking they are taking out a loan but actually they are subscribing to something very different. People click on a link on the internet, insert their contact details and accept the terms and conditions because they believe they are applying for a loan.
What they are actually doing is agreeing to a one-year subscription to a telephonic service. The person then starts receiving emails from the company demanding payments. The company can also start to blacklist people for non-payment. Legally, once you’ve accepted the terms and conditions, you are bound to them. Be careful of what you agree to.
